TRANSALPINIA

The concert march TRANSALPINIA is a musical bridge spanning the alps from north to south. It was commissioned by the Musikverein Unterjettingen from South Germany as a gift to their partner band in Tuscany, Italy. Therefore, the piece mixes the two different styles of there region. Additionally, in the transitional parts of the march i quoted two local folk songs from the correspondent areas. The march finishes then in a catchy Trio.
