AL KYRIOS

"Al Kyrios" was commissioned by the South Tyrolean Artists' Association for the 39th Festival of Contemporary Art in Bolzano. Due to the orientation of the festival, this work for vocal quintet makes use of a "newer" tonal language. In contrast to this, the lyrics of the song are a poem about Jesus' suffering on the cross. The poem was written in Ladin by a priest from the Val Badia. In the vocal ensemble "Il pinzimonio vocale", also from the Val Badia, which premiered in Bruneck on 11 October 2013, the work found the ideal interpreters.
