The "Keschtn-Polka" (south tyrolean for Chestnut Polka) was a commissioned composition of the Bauernkapelle Völlan for the 75th anniversary of its foundation. The polka received this name because the area around Völlan is a well-known cultivation area of the chestnut - an important component of the local cuisine. Thereby the polka with carried melody in the trio and comfortable tempo refers more to the delightful inner part of the fruit than to the prickly chestnut hedgehog.
